News a-plenty after E3 this year, and unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I was on vacation through the entire show, and was unable to post updates on all the new games and game ad-ons. I will do my best to get back on track, starting with IGN's review of Prototype! Now at a glance Prototype looks like an action packed open world game... and that glance sums it all up. The story isn't exactly original, with the classic "you wake up without a clue of your past, and you go on a quest to try to figure out what happened to you". Sure, most sandbox games aren't known for their in depth story-line, but that really isn't an excuse to half ass it. On a better note, the gameplay itself looks to be very over the top. Large numbers of enemies such as tanks, helicopters, and the ever generic soldier, charge at you all at once, in crazy, unrelenting swarms. To close, I'll just say rent this game first, and buy if you deem it worthy.
